We Are Fierce;

     Is it just me or is the whole of kuwait getting more and more aggressive every year? It's insane really! What will we ever solve with our aggressiveness? Other than to point out who's in power, it does us no good. It's like the atmosphere here is so thick and tence you could probably cut it with a butter knife. What ever happened to peace love and rock'n'roll? ;p Why is everyone so angry all the time?! I think someone might need a vacaation :) or some happy pills.

Talk of The Town.

Hellooo all! Are you just diggin' this weather? Or are you just diggin' it?;p ahah I love this time of the year! Seriously, it holds all this ambiguity. It's not yet winter, but it's not hot either. It's so my kinda weather. I usually thought of myself as a summer person, but to tell you the truth, after living in K-town for just about all my life!;p you get tired of the constant heat throughout most of the seasons. It also makes me happy that I can go out casually dressed and find everyone else dressed just about the same.


Doesn't it seem like this world has gone vampire crazy? It's a vampire vortex that I think I may be getting sucked into! ;o For probably the whole past month, that's all i've been hearing. It's all about Vampire this, Vampire that, Vamp. Make up, Vamp. Style, Vampire guys! Sure I don't mind a thrilling series or movie to watch, but from all the insane stories I've heard about people's reactions to these heavenly creatures I don't think its a healthy obsession. A friend of mine the other day said she heard of these girls who scratched their necks [Yes, THEIR NECKS] 'till they bled when they ran into the main man  from "Twilight" at an airport. I wonder what's the next "habba"? Aliens maybe? Dinosaurs? Who knows ;].

So I was negotiating ma3a rou7iii, what should I base this post on? W today gave me the best example possible! Every where I turned, a Little bit of my childhood was peeking. Ahh, the good ol' days. What happened to all those naive memories? What a fast change we've gone through.

     Ga3da ib ma63am ams wla shnu athker? Those lovely brainwashing songs we used to chant after those adorable furry creatures. faj2a out of nowhere I'm singing things like "down in the jungle where nobody goes, lived a great big elephant washing his clothes, with a rub a dub here.."; You get the idea. Wel naas kilha t6al3nii ;p 7asait nafsee feeny na8s 6ufuula so obviously i stopped doing that..

     B3daain ilyom ana w a few frnds ga3deen insolf 3an ayam gabl, lama we were little kindergarteners shloun kinna nhaded the grls we disliked or feared with our "shir6y uncles who can put them in jail" Or "our high priority parents who can have them taken care of". It's hilarious how we thought of that b9ara7aa. Who comes up with this stuff for us ;p? We would've been genius comedians.

     Ba3ad mnu yathkeeer? *picks up finger while slowlyy liffing it across face* "Haaa A7aaarbeech/ck?!" Wetha ba6aw chabdkum the grl/boy, you insanely/rapidly move your finger across your face indicating innich/k M7arbat'hum forever (unless they have a good snack to share;p).

     Madre 3ankum walla, but I had this little mean streak growing up (no one would believe that if they  knew me now, I'm like the kindest there is! ;c hmph), w kl ma i had an "enemy" I'd create these little plots to make their lives miserable. Although I feel mega bad thinking about it now, its a reminiscable memorie to go back to. ;p

Most memorable childhood memorie of mine;
      The uther day g3d asolef ma3a my bro, w kan ygoulii what a mean little devil I was. When I was about 6 yrs old, we had this german shepard I adored (although I was deathly scared of it, because of its enormity!;p) Ga3d ygouuliii shlon i used to throw rocks 3ala 7osh bayt yeraaana (yes rocks!) laima y93doun il fence bayn the two houses 3ashan yt'hawshoun b3dain i make fake dog noises (because as I said I was afraid of the real dog, just enjoyed the idea of him) w agouluhumm, "Choufooow Our dog's mad!" ;o w then i go, "Lathkhalouni ahida 3aleikum!" Wel mushkila knt a9adeg chthbty! w uhma msakeen they'd have their little brother act like a dog to scare us. In the end we'd always win cuz our dog was "REAL":p good times.

I mean, apart from the fact that he's everywhere which makes him really hard to miss, his wording & the way he phrases things are just incredible! Also, he's started at a very young age. That's the spirit;

     Exam week is usually the time where most us students go bazerk or reach the level of insanity. il 7mdla I study, and make as good a grade as I possibly can. But I believe I am incapable of studying properly, or so says my mom. Tgooleee intaw tsamooon hal cramming ib yom wa7ed deraasaaa? I7na 3ala ayaaamna kinna nadres ISBOO3 KAMEL gbl il imti7an to "prepare for it". 3ayal ana 3ndy su2al likum, ya3neee itha badresa gabl isbuu3 beytem ib mu5ii? no matter what ways I try to better study for exams, they never work and the info never sticks in my head. Infact, I find cramming the most effective method for the knowledge to actually stay in my brain 'til the day of the exam. Am I really gonna be needing the cubed root of pi, or the fifth amendemnt in the Syberian constitution (this is made up for as far as I know) in my later life? I DONT THINK SO. W b3dain there are those who can't bare to pay attention to some historic old boring piece of info they need to know for their thirty something page long exam. Using me as an example, when it comes to things like that? you probly find me making every excuse possible to wiggle my way out of literally consentrating on that piece of information, which I very well may regret later on. I can't help it if my attention span is that of a goldfish's (3 seconds or so;p), That's just how I am. In short, good luck everyone. It's gonna be one hell-of-a week [whenever that may be for you].

This week's happenings;

This week has been pretty eventful I guess? ;p It's also been hella HECTIC ;o getting ready for exam week;] and here's a few things I found interesting this week:


- The weather? Isn't it TO DIE FOR? It's finally raining [yaaay;o] I love this time of the year. Were it's finally the right time to wear those designer boots and what nots. also a qquestion for you guys: Favorite time of the year, && why? ;p

- I finally got the chance to watch "My Sister's Keeper", and I thought it was pretty good. Bs 9ij wayed ppl over exageratted the whole mushy scenes. 6ool ma I watched it I was thinking Okay, I might cry in the next part? Bs walla not a tear was shed. Even the men were crying!;o y7lailkum;] It ain't shameful to shed a tear or two. I guess im just heartless? ahah ;o

- What do you guys think of the whole "Hippie Band" Thing?  You know the one you put around your head?;p Well I think it's simply amazing. I'm one of those people who likes to have her insane hair on her face, but the whole band thing just gets it outa my eyes enough to see. With or against? Comments much appreciated :] x

Okay so you've all been informed that Pinkberry's open in Kuwait now right? Can I just ask what the big 5abba is about ? ya3nee il line that waits for a cup of fro' yo' is incredible, scratch that, UNBELIEVABLE! I admit, 5abeit 3mry the frst weeek orso, but mostly cuz of those foreign hotties they made work there:], bs ya3nee it's really a normal thing don't you think?      You know when you have one of those moments in life? Where you just forget who you are anymore? When you're just a name brand copy of yourself. The one everybody else thinks should be "you". I mean what's a person to do, I guess? You get sucked into all these formalities, where if someone asks you to "tell them more about yourself" You find your self at a loss for words, because honestly you've forgotten. Well, people, don't let such an excuse as the world and its' formalities keep you from unleashing your unique self. Without an identitiy, an originality, a human is mearly a robot. We all gotta stick to our beliefs and quirks. Its what makes us special. Just because you're friends don't like the things you're into, doesn't mean you should give em up for your friendship. You're uniqueness is probably what makes them intrigued by you. In short, "lead, don't follow". You'll be much more satisfied in the end.

     Lil asaf, in the society we live in today, wayed fake people trying to change lives of others to being as miserable as theirs. The reason: Boredom? Madeness? It's unknown really. When you think you know someone, but they turn out to be the complete opposite of what you thought. A stranger almost! Shocker isn't it? I mean the whole two-faced, bitchy-assed behaviors have got to stop! Ya3nee shlon befeedich/k itha u go talk trash about hathee/hathaa? seriously, will it make your life any better? I believe not (:. You're just going to end up a selfish looser all alone for the rest of your life. B9araa7a, a friendship is dear. Trust in it, and inshalla it lasts a lifetime. Writer's Block?

Ok, so I've been having troubles with coming up with stuff to write about. So I thought, Why not go out into K-town and look for some fresh inspiration, ay? Sadly, I didn't find much ;c But here's A Few things That I found interesting:

- Sequined harem pants; You know those pouffy pants most of the world is hibbing over? Sure, they're flatterng on some people, but don't you think its a bit overly exaggerated when its covered in sparkly sequins? Although I admire the girl's self confidence for wearing such a thing.
Speaking off; Don't you think the Cafe Blanc uniforms are just adorable?

- To all the single ladies; Put your hands up! hahaha. Beyonce finally 3nd il 3arab. On The 6th of November, A concert will be held on her behalf at Port Ghaleb, If anyone knows info on buying tickets please comment!

- La7ath't shay the other day. With the numerous numbers of new restaurants opened/opening, There never is anywhere to go! What should us people who don't wanna go out for food do? ;c Sure fe shaleihat, fe byuuut, malls, etc. Bs is that it? that sounds very routine doesn't it?

- The population of ajanib here is growing immensely! The other day at the Avenues, I was surprised by the fact that the ajaniiib kanoow tarseeen il gahaweee! ymkn cuz its been ages since I've gone there, bs has anyone else noticed such a thing?

- I've been craving a mc chicken drizzled in bbq (yes I'm the weird kinda person who likes adding french fries and bbq sauce into my sandwich (: and think it tastes yummy) for a while now, How long do you thing before I break my dieting ways and get one?

     Picture this, you and your so called lover are countries apart. I mean you [being the girl] love him to death, and is sure he loves you as much,too. bs here's the problem: You're parents have never heard of him, and the fact that you're in different countries, [never mind you the different believes] makes it extremely difficult for him to propose you're hand in marriage (although he would do so in a heartbeat).

     Also, mashalla il bnt jameelaa:* W.. let's just say, they're kinda like the beauty and the beast, but this beast will never turn into a prince charming. 9ij inna true beauty lies within the heart, but you know some families might be a bit judgemental, for the reason of "wanting the best" for their children. If you were them what would you do? Would you have the guy propose, and handle all consequences? or would you just end it then and there?

A day without it all.

     Imagine, on a day as normal as this, all your technological advantages were ... unavailable anymore. What would you do then? Do you think your life would be as "pleasant" as it was now? Imagine it.. Would we be lost without our many priveleges? Or would we be able to continue our lives like always. There would be no blogger, no phones, no internet, no nothing! Life would be hard work, wouldn't it? I just thought I'd write this post to be thankful for all the advantages we've gotten in our life, things our ancestors would've not even dreamed about having.

A few bumps on the road. x

When you hear the word clumsy, what, or who's the first thing/person you think of? In my friends' case, its always me. I'm not proud of it really, bs I wanna explain 7altii likum; it might give you a laugh;p. See when I say clumsy, I don't just mean tripping down stairs, or stumbling in high heels. Its waay worse o.o I mean, it takes "real talent" to be as clumsy as me. Here are a few situations where I should have been really embarassed:

-Tripping up stairs while stumbling on my own feet and falling, resulting in a colorful drink being painted on my white shirt (did I mention, in public?).

- Falling into one of those mop-on-wheels (u know the ones right? they have a huge bucket filled with icky water? uber embarassment;o) While dancing [yeah, I'm really serious;c].

-Getting my cardigan stuck on the stair rails while going up (It had that spring effect and I ended up wheere I was in the beginning), and bumped into a stranger (sorry person ;D).

     So you see, 7altii keseefa. I mean I should try and be more careful, but I think its impossible. Just another day in the life of Phlash. Hope you enjoyed my mishaps.

     So I was out ilyom, minding my own business, when all of a sudden it hit me. I was in the smokers' section of a restauraunt [for no reason at all] when I noticed how many female smoker's there were. Athkir ayam awal you'd see like one or two smoking in public, and she'd be considered daring, since most women don't ever smoke in public (esp. bl Kwait!). Il7eeen there are more women smokers than the men in public. Don't get me wrong, I don't care [or mind it],Ma 9arlee akthar mn a month mn travel. So when did all this form? Il banat usualy they smoke ya out of the country, or in private. Just a surprising scene I guess ;S

Ahhh the sweet feeling of reminiscence. To every one, a memory is either good, bad, or both. The beauty in a memory is being able to recall those sweet feelings you had at the time this memory occurred. It's things like memories of good that keep us hoping for a "better" in the future. Without memories, dreams, wishes, anything the mind thinks up really, what would our tomorow be like? A pile of boring, hopeless crap; Thats what it would be. If you'd like yoou can share a memorie of your own on this post. One of my favorites was of a friend I've known since Kindergarten.
